I built a wealth tracker because my Excel macros broke one too many times

You can't grow what you can't see.

Most investors don't actually know what their portfolio is worth. Not approximately. Not "around X." Defensibly, today, including every account, every asset, every currency. They have a guess. They have a feeling. They don't have a number.

That's not a tracking problem. It's a wealth problem. Because the decisions you make about money are only as good as the numbers you're working from. Wrong numbers, made worse by compounding, are the silent killer of long-term growth. Most people lose more wealth to opacity than to bad stock picks.

I learned this the slow way.

I'm Hariharan Srinivasan, an engineer based near Paris. My portfolio is the textbook NRI mess — accounts spread across India, the US, and Europe, holding stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, digital gold, fixed deposits, and EUR savings across more brokers than I can keep track of.

For three years I tracked everything in Excel macros and Power BI dashboards. It worked — until one broker changed their statement export format.
