Windows SmartScreen warning
When you run the installer, Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" warning. This is normal for new software that hasn't yet built up a reputation with Microsoft.

Why does this appear? SmartScreen warns about apps it hasn't seen before. Bunker Ledger is safe — you can verify the download using the SHA-256 checksum above. This warning will stop appearing once enough users install the app and Microsoft builds trust.

Open the DMG and drag to Applications
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file. A window will appear with the Bunker Ledger icon and an Applications folder shortcut. Drag the Bunker Ledger icon onto the Applications folder.
Tip: After copying, you can eject the DMG by right-clicking it in Finder and selecting "Eject", or by dragging it to the Trash.
Confirm you want to open the app
The first time you open Bunker Ledger, macOS shows a standard "downloaded from the Internet" confirmation dialog. Click "Open" and the app launches. You only need to do this once — future launches open silently.

Why do I see security warnings?
Both Windows SmartScreen and macOS Gatekeeper warn about software from developers who haven't purchased a code-signing certificate from Microsoft or Apple. These certificates cost hundreds of dollars per year and are a business decision, not a security indicator.
Bunker Ledger is safe. It stores all data locally on your device, makes no network calls except for market data and AI features (which you control), and contains no telemetry or tracking. You can verify every download using the SHA-256 checksums published above.
